THis is a nice phone from the art deco period at the end of the 1920s. One could obtain it with or without a dial, here an excerpt from a 1928 ATEA catalog.

A "distant cousin" on a German Website? (Follow the link)

"My" phone, which has been derived from the Automatic Electric AE1,  has some "cousins" at the sister companies Automatic Electric CHicago and ATM Liverpool. I wrote an article about it.

In the 1930s, a derived version, the ATEA A1078 was manufactured. Here a leaflet:

How did I obtain this phone?

This phone was obtained from a Dutch collector Arwin Schaddelee from Leiden, the Netherlands.
