I was walking on a Sunday morning on a fleamarket in Tongeren, and by accident I saw the phone, for a decent price. In the Atea catalogue "Poste Domestique" from around 1930 I saw this phone was called the "Provophone". A similar phone has been used for frontdoor intercom systems, which became popular from the 1930s.
