Around 1930 a new generation of stylish telephones became popular, but there was no space forseen for the bell in the phone, so an external bell had to be placed.
A second application for an external bell was i.e. in a company where the telephone was located in an office, while people were working in a bigger hall. In order that they should here the phone ringing, an external bell was installed.
This bell with his roudings reminded me to the ending of the art nouveau time. I love also the shape of the logo.
In the mid1920s catalogue we saw bells in a wooden housing, at the end of the 1920s the bells followed the telephones trend, and were housed in a metal frame.
I obtained this object in 2011 from a collector who urgently needed space at the attic.
