Although several people were involved in the early development of the telephone, it was finally Alexander Graham Bell who commercialized this invention in 1876.
This important step in the development of telephony was worldwide remembered in 1976, one hundred years later. Some countries remembered somewhat later the introduction of telephony and/or telephony switching in their country.
